NOTE: With all of the rain, it's possible that the tournament director will contact me about having to reschedule games. Please be sure to check this website before driving to the field. I'll post any information as soon as it becomes available. As of now, everything appears to be on as scheduled.
Ten teams will participate in the Oak Lawn tournament: Oak Lawn Storm, Glen Ellyn, Orland Park Warriors, Evergreen Park, Sheridan Park, Oak Lawn Thunder, Elmhurst, Mt. Greenwood, Frankfort Square and Merrionette Park. These teams are structured into two "pools" with five teams in each pool.
The Warriors will open the Oak Lawn tournament against Sheridan Park on Friday, July 11th. The game will start at 5:45 pm. The team will then face the Oak Lawn Storm on Saturday, July 12th at 9:00 am, followed by a 1:00 pm game against Evergreen Park the same day. Pool play will conclude with a 10:00 am game on Sunday, July 13th against Glen Ellyn. All four of these games will be played at Kolb North--which is located at 99th at Central Avenue in Oak Lawn. As always, players should arrive at the field 45 minutes before game time.
After the four pool games are played, the two teams with the best records from our pool with play each other (on Monday, July 14th at 5:45 pm) to determine which team will move onto the championship game against the winner of the other pool.
The active players for this tournament include: Dietz, Drabeck, McHale, Lebert, Lenzen, Lewis, Marc, Maxfield, Novak, Poulos, Rafferty and Tannebaum. Dennis Bresingham is the first alternate.
