The Warriors were pleased that the Lewis family came to see the team play at Hickory Hills on Sunday. Grant Lewis played the last two (2007 and 2008) seasons with the Warriors. He led last year's team in batting average, on-base % and runs batted in. He also led the pitching staff in earned run average as well as WHIP (walks and hits per inning pitched). More importantly, Grant was one of the team leaders and was always a positive influence for the team. He now plays with the Orland Park Magic this season.
Dave Lewis was a coach with the Warriors for the past two seasons as well. And, Kim Lewis supported the team by assisting with many tasks over the course of the season--including submitting action photos from most of the team's games.
