You Make the Call (Part 11)

Q #11: Runners on first and third base with one out. Pitcher throws a pick off throw over to third base. During the throw over to third, the runner on first base advanced to second base. While he ran to second base, the runner veered 15 feet from the baseline into the rightfield grass before coming back to the bag. No play was made on the runner originally positioned on first base. Should the runner be called out for running out of the baseline? You make the call.

A #11: A runner should NOT be called out for running out of the base line unless he does so to avoid a tag.
