The Warriors beat the A.F.C.A. Mets by a score of 12-7 on Saturday night at Centennial #7. The team remains undefeated in Chicagoland Metro League play after six games.
Matthias Dietz was awarded the game ball for his performance in this game. In the early going, it was a pitchers' duel--and Matthias did not allow any runs to score and held a one run lead through three innings. Then, in the bottom of the third inning, he drove the ball to the rightfield wall--driving in two runs with two strikes after two outs! Shortly thereafter, the Warriors blew the game wide open with a seven run fourth inning.
Matthias has been one of the team's leaders over the past two seasons. He has ben a major contributor to the success of the Warriors so far in the 2008 season.
